After 25 heroes slew the raid boss Aegor IV Dragomyr, he lay dying on the floor of The Dragonspire, gasping as the spirit of his father Aeramor Dragomyr appears to him.

Aegor Dragomyr: Father... is it over?

Aeramor Dragomyr: At long last. No Dragomyr can kiss ass forever, my son.

Aegor Dragomyr: I see... only The Shadow before me...

Aeramor clutches his dead son's body, contemplating the future.

Aeramor Dragomyr: Without its master's command, the restless vassals will become an even greater threat to actually getting anything productive done in the kingdom. Control must be maintained; there must be always be... *Drakonia explodes* ...a Dragon King.

Dalan walks over to the Crown of Embers, bends down to pick it up and examines the face of it.

Dalan Karthmere: The weight of such a burden... it must be mine. For there is no other...

Taeronys Dragomyr: Dalan! You hold a grim destiny in your hands, brother - but it is not your own.

The scorched caricature of Taeronys is revealed, sitting atop the Throne of Embers.

Dalan Karthmere: Taeronys! By all that is holy...

Taeronys Dragomyr: The dragons' flame sealed my fate. The world of the living can no longer comfort me. Place the crown upon my head, Dalan. Forevermore, I will be the King of Andoras.

Dalan Karthmere: No, old friend. I cannot--

Taeronys Dragomyr: Do it, Dalan! You and these brave heroes have your own destinies to fulfill. This last act of service... is mine.

Dalan turns toward Taeronys with the Crown of Embers cradled in his hands before him.

Dalan Karthmere: You will not be forgotten, brother.

Taeronys Dragomyr: I must be forgotten, Dalan! If the world is to live free from the tyranny of fear, they must never know what was done here today!

Dalan nods and accedes to Taeronys's request, sliding the crown onto his head. The chamber begins to shake violently as Dalan looks around. There is a flash of light and Taeronys's eyes are glowing orange with his crown.

Taeronys Dragomyr: Tell them only that Taeronys is dead, and the Dragomyrs died with him.

The Throne of Embers spontaneously combusts, encasing Taeronys in flame.

Taeronys Dragomyr: Now, go! Leave this place, and never return!
