Drakonian is the main language spoken by the Drakonian people. It is a language widely spoken in southwest Doras Edrossi and abroad that originated from Drakonin, a precursor language spoken by Drakonians before the Dragon Wars. It was especially spoken in city-states whom were once colonies of the Drakonian Empire. There is also a presence of Drakonian still spoken in the Kingsland.

Since the fall of Drakonia, the language had over time taken on a different form known as Low Drakonian and some city-states have taken on their own dialects. House Dragomárus and the Drakonian noble families that live in the Kingsland still speak Drakonian in its original form and can teach the language to those who wish to learn it.

People foreign to the language describe it as sounding melodic, dramatic and eloquent.

Low Drakonian

Low Drakonian is not a stand alone language itself, but rather a bastardization of Drakonian during its decline. It is commonly used among city-states. Most cities adopted their own dialects and each dialect more or less has its own seperate derived vocabulary.

There are several dialects of Low Drakonian such as Cerynian, Ethrykian and Thysian from the city-states. City-states like Vecys and Edynar have managed to retain much of the original dialect and semantics of the original language.

Thyllanorian is often considered a bastard dialect of Ethrykian, a Low Drakonian dialect in itself.
