The Second Siege of Dragonspire was the ultimate battle of the Civil War, and the final push against Aeganar IV Dragomárus and his House, which had ruled the entirety of the Kingdom of Andoras since the Dragomárus invasion of Andoras concluded in 10 AC.

With the Siege's conclusion, and its storied assault known as the Final Spark in its final days, the 346 AC rebellion came to a close and the Kingdom of Andoras fell. The Treaty of Dragonspire was drafted two days after, and thus ended the Dragomárus -- and more specifically, Aeganar's -- rule over Andoras.

The siege is also known for producing a great amount of triumph for the rebels, many of which had never left the front lines during the war. This siege saw their sacrifices repaid, and their victories cherished all the same.

Beginnings

After the stalemate from the first attempted siege, both sides were exhausted from the constant fatigue of besieging. During the month of recovering from the first siege, House Stone, House Grimolt, and House Karthmere began to run out of strategies for besieging and sacking the city, as Dragonspire seemed impenetrable.

Helman Stone II had not heard news from the Stone Knights for months, as they had not participated in the first attempted siege. Immediately after the First Siege, Adrian Karthmere and his forces seemingly disappeared, and Dalan feared that his brother and Adrian's commander Gothaen Synthor were dead. Helman also feared that all of his Stone Knights has perished with the concurring battles beyond. The Destruction of Corcivaetas just a few miles to the west had left a smoldering ruin that served as a constant reminder of the war's brutality, and also served to displace the majority of the front line troops. Confused, several rebel regiments returned home, unsure of where to go and receiving no official notice from the higher-ups about the state of this war. It was a stalemate that was tentative and tense.

Adrian, with an uncharacteristic stroke of genius, had traveled back to Thyllanor after fighting in the First Siege of Dragonspire, rallying reinforcements for the rebels. As Adrian traveled back to Dragonspire, he continued to raise every spare levy he could on his march back. When all was said and done, Adrian had amassed 15,000 men, all of whom were ready to report for duty to Dragonspire. While he traveled back, the Destruction of Corcivaetas took place, and word traveled fast; when Adrian's army reached the spot where Corcivaetas once was, it was still burning just as fiercely as before. Soon enough, the Stone Knights of Borus Haren also reached the army, and Gothaen Synthor followed close behind. These three commanders would soon meet up with the rest of the men who lied in wait between Dragonspire and Corcivaetas; Byron Grimolt, Lord Paramount of Thunder's Shore, Dalan II Karthmere, Lord Paramount of Thyllanor, and Helman Stone II, Lord Paramount of the Moonlyt Peaks.
