It is a city as ancient as it is large, being ranked as one of the oldest cities in the world on par with the age of Drakonia. All that is known of the age of Thauros is that it was already inhabited by their first encounter with the Thaurosian ten thousand years prior. When asked by the Drakonian Dragon-Lords where their massive city had came from, not even the locals could give a definite answer, with the only answer they give being that it was already there when their ancestors found it.

Information

Not much is known of Thauros as a whole when it comes to the city. The Thaurosian people as a culture has been documented of being nearly thirteen thousand years old but the city itself is unknown in age. When first encountered by Drakonians even the natives of Thauros couldn't give a clear answer, stating that the city was always there and most likely always will be. Thauros is considered one of the Wonders of the World, and the city itself is thirty miles across with countless subdivisions and areas.

Every single culture native to Doras Edrossi from the Sigorians, to the Drakonians, to even the Drakonteians are known visit the city from time to time. The Drakonteians have dubbed the city a wonder of the world, as have many other cultures throughout recorded history. Thauros sports over fifty market areas, arboretums, museums of extinct peoples and their artifacts, and also is home to one of the largest libraries of books thought to be several thousands of years old.

When the Dragon-Lords of old first encountered the Thaurosians, it was actually very peaceful on both sides. The Drakonian's offer to the rulers of Thauros that if they were to keep the Tegrush at bay, then Thauros would be able to remain independent and autonomous, which the Thaurosians happily accepted.
